OHSC World One Health Congress Scholarship
In recognition of the importance of promoting academic and professional development opportunities for students, the One Health Student Committee (OHSC) at the University of Guelph is now inviting applications for the OHSC World One Health Congress Scholarship.
This scholarship will cover the cost of registration (in the amount of $460 CAD) for the virtual edition of the 6th World One Health Congress from October 30, 2020 to November 2, 2020.
Candidate requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate students attending the University of Guelph
- Education, research, experience, and/or goals demonstrate an intention for a continued career in One Health
All interested students are invited to apply by forwarding the completed application form and their CV to the One Health Student Committee via email at onehealthstudents@uoguelph.ca by October 19, 2020 at 23:59. The successful candidate will be notified via email by October 23, 2020.
ISOHA One Health Mentorship
Are you a student interested in One Health and looking to grow your personal/professional networks, get industry advice, and develop passions related to One Health?
Are you a One Health professional interested in building the future One Health experts?
The ISOHA Mentorship Program is aimed at connecting students interested in One Health with established One Health professionals with similar interests.
The program runs from November 15, 2020 until May 15, 2021.

Call for U of G One Health Student Spotlights
The One Health Student Committee is looking for interested U of G students participating in One Health research that would like to be a part of the One Health Student Spotlight series.
What do you have to do?
- Participate in a short (15-30 min) interview via Teams
- Talk about yourself, your program, your research, and your interest in One Health
The interviews - with permission - will be edited and posted to the OHSC Instagram account, the U of G One Health YouTube channel, and/or the U of G One Health website. For some examples of Student Spotlights done in the past, check out the OHSC Instagram page.
Please email the One Health Student Committee (onehealthstudents@uoguelph.ca) to indicate your interest or if you have any questions!
One Health Poster Day

Mark your calendars - One Health Poster Day is coming up on November 3rd!
We are excited to be collaborating with the Centre for Public Health and Zoonoses (CPHAZ) at the University of Guelph and the One Health Program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University to bring you this year's One Health Poster Day.
Are you a student? Does your research fall in the sweet spot - at the interface of human, animal, and environmental health? If so we would like to feature your innovative and exciting research highlighting current challenges and your leading-edge solutions across the One Health spectrum!
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to Monday, October 19, 2020. You can submit your abstract here.
If you would like to be part of the audience and support our presenters, please feel free to join our event by registering before October 30, 2020 here.

OneHealthLessons.com Art & Music Contest

OneHealthLessons.com is holding a One Health Art and Music Contest.
Showcase your artistic abilities by creating an original piece of art or music that reflects your impressions of One Health and send it in!
This can include: paintings, photographs, poems, songs, chamber music, creative writing, short films, musical theatre, drama and more.
Individual and group entries will be judged on creativity, relevance, content and presentation and evaluated in the following age groups: 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, 18+.
Individual and group submissions deadline: October 30, 2020 at 11:59PM EST

First place winning submissions will be featured on OneHealthLessons.com on November 3rd for One Health Day! All other honorable mentions will be featured on social media pages associated with OneHealthLessons.com throughout the month of November.
