Communications & Public Affairs

All three University of Guelph campuses are currently open and operating. Faculty and staff should report to work as usual. We understand that this is a very challenging and stressful time, and faculty and staff may have situations and circumstances that require flexibility, so please speak with your supervisor if you need accommodations.

This is an evolving situation - please continue to monitor the University's COVID-19 web page regularly for new information. Changes affecting the University's academic or operational functions will be communicated immediately on that page, through email, on other University web pages and via U of G's social media channels.

As announced previously, all classes are cancelled for one week beginning Monday, March 16, to provide preparation time to deliver course content in an alternative way. Courses will resume Monday, March 23, but in an alternative-format delivery. No face-to-face classes or face-to-face exams will be held for the remainder of the winter 2020 semester.

We want to remind the U of G community of the importance of social distancing and encourage everyone to consider ways to minimize close contact to help prevent virus transmission while going about your day-to-day work activities. More information is available on the Government of Canada's website.

We thank you for your patience, cooperation and understanding as the University works to implement measures to assist in efforts to slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19 in the U of G community and beyond. These are challenging and unprecedented times that require co-operation from the entire U of G community.
