One Health at the University of Guelph

Congratulations to Dr. Travis Steffens and Dr. Fiona James, faculty recipients of the 2019-2020 Dr. Robert W. Woolner One Health Student Research Studentship (the Woolner One Health Studentship, for short).

The Woolner studentship is awarded to a faculty member conducting One Health research. There are two studentships available annually.

During the 2019-2020 call, faculty submitted a short description of their research project, outlining its connection to One Health and student responsibilities.

The One Health Institute adjudicated the proposals, and selected two faculty recipients. Each faculty member will receive $8,000 to be paid as a summer salary to an exceptional undergraduate student of their choosing (approx. 35 hours / week for 14 weeks) plus $1,000 to the faculty member’s general purpose fund.

Are you a U of G undergraduate interested in One Health research?

Apply to work with Dr. Fiona James!

Find out more HERE.

Note that applications are due next Tuesday, March 17th at noon.
