1. Please wear a face covering.
Face coverings protect others from your respiratory droplets.
A face covering can be any two-layer thick material that covers the wearer’s nose,mouth, and chin.

2. Practice physical distancing and stay 2 metres (6 feet) from other people.

3. Stay home when you are sick or required to self-isolate to stop the spread.
Do not go to work, class, or other public spaces.
Do not use public transportation, taxis or rideshares.
Do not have visitors unless essential (e.g. care providers).
As much as possible, stay in a separate room from other people in your householdand use a separate bathroom if you have one.

4. Cover your coughs and sneezes.
Cough or sneeze into your bent elbow or a tissue that you throw away immediately.
Don’t forget to wash your hands!

5. Clean your hands often!
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Dry your hands with a paper towel or cloth towel that no one else will share.
Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

6. Don’t touch your face.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

7. Be mindful of high-touch surfaces.
Disinfect shared spaces before and after you use them.
Use a barrier (glove or paper towel) between your hand and the surface.

8. If you are coming to campus, or another U of G site, fill out the University of Guelph COVID-19 Screening Form, each day, BEFORE you arrive.

9. Download the Government of Canada’s COVID Alert App
The app can let people know of possible exposures before any symptoms appear.
The app uses Bluetooth to exchange random codes with nearby phone.
Each day, it checks a list of random codes from people who tell the app they test positive.
If you’ve been near one of those codes in the past 14 days, you’ll get a notification.

10. Keep your get-togethers small.
Limit your indoor and outdoor gatherings to less than ten people.
Don’t share drinks, meals, vapes or other things that could transmit COVID-19.
Continue to practice physical distancing.
