Community
The Gryphons Nest initiative is designed to connect our first-year students living off campus with a community of peers from their academic program. Upper-year students support communities of 40-50 students, sharing campus resources and involvement opportunities, reaching out for 1-on-1 check-ins, and organizing community-building and academic-focused programming to help students make connections, succeed academically and navigate their transition to life at U of G. Co-Instructor Danica Matovic (Ontario Agricultural College) is preparing her students for success in the agri-food industry by helping them build their resumes, complete job applications and mock interviews, and develop their professional and networking skills.

Associate Professor John Donald (School of Engineering) talks about the advantages of taking his fully remote course. Delivering his course through video tutorials and recorded lectures will allow students to review course material at a later date and as often as desired.
