Welcome to a New Semester

Welcome to campus and a new semester! The library has been quiet this summer and we're looking forward to the hustle and bustle of the fall semester. Facing Johnston Green, the new entrance is bigger, better, and ready to welcome you. Please note the old entrance off Winegard Walk is no longer accessible. When visiting the library, food and beverages are once again allowed and masking is optional, but recommended in high-density spaces. We are designating the north end of the 5th floor as a mask-required area for those that need it. You may also notice we've switched to a new newsletter platform. As a result, when you update your email preferences or unsubscribe you will be asked to create a password. If you have any questions or concerns let us know!

  The library is here to help you access the resources you need for your teaching and research! Check out new resources we’ve acquired, learn how we use usage patterns to determine which eBooks to keep long-term, and find out how the library can help you get copyright clearance for your course material. • 2022-23 OER Grant Program Recipients.

  We're pleased to announce the 2022-2023 recipients of the Open Educational Resources (OER) Support Program grant recipients! Three University of Guelph instructors are receiving grants to create free, high-quality digital education materials that will improve access to educational resources for U of G students. Learn more about the grant recipients.

• Access PDFs more quickly with LibKey.

  The library has improved the way you access journal article PDFs. You'll see a few changes now when you search records in Omni and other databases. Learn how to access journal article PDFs faster..
