The University of Guelph C.F. Crozier & Associates Scholarship has named its first $5,000 recipient: engineering student Yusra Hasan.

Crozier has committed $25,000 to the University of Guelph C.F. Crozier & Associates Scholarship fund which will be awarded over five years to one student each year enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering program.

The University of Guelph C.F. Crozier & Associates Inc. Scholarship is awarded to one student each year enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering program. Hasan was selected for her academic achievement and drive and was inspired by her entrepreneurial family in the construction business to pursue an education in environmental engineering and to contribute these skills to bettering society.

Crozier offers various scholarships and mentorship initiatives that foster student and employee development including a $25,000 McMaster University fund for the C.F. Crozier & Associates Inc. Bursary and The Crozier Way Scholarship which will be awarded this year to students who complete their co-op placements at Crozier and exemplify the company’s core values.

Many graduates from the University of Guelph have built careers at Crozier, including the company’s president, Nick Mocan, who arrived as a student from the university over 15 years ago. Graduating from the same program, Amanda Pinto, a land development engineering intern at Crozier, has recently been named this year’s University of Guelph Young Alumnus/a Award recipient for her leadership in the engineering community.
