OVC Bulletin

Are you a practicing small or mixed animal veterinarian?

Posted: January 11, 2021

A new study at OVC is exploring the effect of virtual (remote) veterinary care on the veterinarian-client relationship from the veterinarian perspective. Open to general practitioners and specialists.

Increased access to technology, has created an opportunity for clients and patients to receive veterinary care remotely. This type of interaction is called virtual veterinary care. A research team from OVC is interested in studying veterinarian and pet owners’ perceptions and experiences communicating during virtual (remote) and face-to-face interactions.

This 20-minute survey explores veterinarians’ perspectives on best-communication practices for virtual (remote) veterinary care. It also explores veterinarians’ challenges to overcome and ideas for improving these discussions. Thank you for considering participating in this survey.
