Exam Stress Busters at the Library

Alt= " "

Exams are coming up, and as such, so are exam stress busters! If you’re visiting the library to study, we encourage you to take a break and enjoy some of the activities we’ve prepared for you. Post a positive message for your peers on the Positive Wall, drop a worry in the Worry Box, or pick up an Activity Book or page to help you take a break from studying. Balance matters! Learn more about the events happening at the library for Exam Stress Busters, as well as links to helpful studying resources.

Interested in learning more about the Canadian food scene and how it’s changed overtime? If so, we encourage you to check out Cooking Up History: 30 Years of the Culinary Historians of Canada (CHC), an exhibit that just launched in our Archival & Special Collections Exhibit Room. This exhibit not only commemorates the 30th anniversary of the CHC—it also highlights the inductees of Taste Canada’s Hall of Fame. Visit the library to explore this student-curated exhibit, on display now.

The library isn’t just a place to study (though it is a great space to do so). It’s also a place that provides exceptional support and services, thanks to our great staff and peer helpers. That said, we know exam time is upon us, and so we want to share with you the Succeed at Exams online guide. In it, you’ll find info about:

  • Setting up your study space
  • Managing exam stress
  • Multiple choice exams
  • Essay exams
  • Problem-solving exams
  • Short-answer exams
  • And, more!

Get to Know the Library Peer Helpers

At the library, we’re lucky to have incredible students who work with us in a variety of roles through the peer helper program. Working on a variety of library teams, peer helpers provide student-to-student support to enhance the academic journey for students at U of G. Want to meet some of our peer helpers? Visit the library’s Instagram page to read some of their bios.
