Are you a student interested in One Health and looking to grow your personal/professional networks, get industry advice, and develop passions related to One Health?

Are you a One Health professional interested in building the future One Health experts?

The ISOHA Mentorship Program is aimed at connecting students interested in One Health with established One Health professionals with similar interests.

The program runs from November 15, 2020 until May 15, 2021.

OHSC World One Health Congress Scholarship Recipient Announced!

Congratulations to Jamie Goltz for being chosen as the recipient of the first-ever University of Guelph One Health Student Committee (OHSC) World One Health Congress Scholarship!

Jamie is completing her MSc in Population Medicine (Epidemiology) with the Collaborative Specialization in One Health here at the University of Guelph.

We look forward to hearing about Jamie's experience at the upcoming Congress!

Have you ever wondered...

What is One Health? How can One Health be applied to solve some of the most wicked, real-world challenges? What types of careers are available to a One Health practitioner?

If so, join us! It's free! 

We are excited to be collaborating with the Centre for Public Health and Zoonoses (CPHAZ) at the University of Guelph and the One Health Program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University to bring you this year's One Health Poster Day

The day will give participants the chance to interactively learn about One Health and its real-world applications across diverse fields as well as explore a cross-section of innovative and exciting research taking place at the interface of human, animal, and environmental health.

It will kick off with the What is One Health? Seminar presented by the University of Guelph's One Health Student Committee with support from the Western One Health Club.

Biology and Control of SARS-CoV-2 Webinar

We are excited to be partnering with the Ontario Veterinary College to bring you this moderated and interactive webinar! It will aim to provide up-to-date scientific information on biology of SARS-CoV-2 and prophylactic strategies (such as vaccines) that are under development for control of this virus.

This session will feature SARS-CoV-2 researchers from the University of Guelph, University of Toronto, and McMaster University, and will be moderated by Dr. Shayan Sharif (Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies, OVC). Each of the panelists will deliver a short presentation followed by an opportunity for discussion by all participants. Read more about the panelists here.

What is One Health and what does it have to do with your future career? Find out how a medical doctor, an anthropologist, a veterinarian, and an engineer all found their different career pathways leading to One Health. Learn how they work to solve complex health problems in the various sectors in which they work or have worked. Discover the variety of fields where graduates with One Health knowledge are needed and how One Health skills can set you up for success in your future career. This panel will be moderated by Dr. Jeff Wichtel and will feature the following panelists: Dr. Samira Mubareka, Dr. Travis Steffens, Dr. Deb Stark, and Dr. Heather Murphy.
